Teach History, Geography and Religious Studies through engaging online lessons, developing students’ critical thinking, research skills and understanding of the world. Plan lessons aligned with the British curriculum, prepare students for external examinations, and encourage informed discussion, cultural awareness and independent learning.
Essential criteria
- Experience teaching Humanities within secondary education.
- Strong subject knowledge across History, Geography and Religious Studies.
- Familiarity with GCSE/iGCSE and A Level Humanities curricula and assessment requirements.
- Ability to develop students’ source analysis, evaluation and extended writing skills.
- Experience adapting lessons, assessing progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
Desirable criteria
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, with a relevant degree.
- Experience teaching online or within an international school.
- Confidence using digital resources, maps and interactive learning tools.
- Experience supporting students with SEND or English as an Additional Language.
- Experience contributing to cultural, historical or global citizenship activities.
- Willingness to support cross-curricular projects and curriculum development.
