Contract: Permanent | 20 hours per week
Join a purpose-driven heritage charity and play a key role in keeping our finances running smoothly. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-focused Financial Administrator/Bookkeeper to support both the charity and our trading arm, the International Bomber Command Centre.
What You’ll Do
- Process sales invoices, receipts, payments and supplier invoices
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Manage payroll, tax deductions and staff expenses
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Maintain accurate digital records in Xero
- Collate donation reports and submit Gift Aid claims
- Create purchase orders and support annual audit fieldwork
- Prepare reports for Companies House, Charity Commission and accountants
- Work with senior leaders on budgets and financial planning
- Liaise with staff, volunteers, suppliers and auditors
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in bookkeeping or financial administration
- Strong accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence using Xero (or similar accounting software)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- A positive, solutions-focused approach
