About The Role

To process malted barley, yeast, and water into new make spirit of optimal quality on a shift working basis. Assist in warehousing and all other distillery operations.

Main Responsibilities

o Intake raw materials

o Process raw materials into alcohol.

o Monitor and record process information.

o Maintain a good standard of site housekeeping.

o Maintaining and cleaning distillery equipment, performing routine first line maintenance as needed.

o Assist with warehousing operations.

o Assist with tanker loading operations.

o Monitoring of SCADA/HMI/control system and acting on the conditions of the plant.

o Provide effective handovers during shift changeovers

o Provide an accurate and timely record of the production process and spirit accounts.

o Adhering to Health & Safety, HMRC, food safety, animal feed safety and environmental compliance.

o Any other distillery operations as required. Working Conditions

o Annualised hours, averaging 38 hours per week.

o Shift pattern includes night shift working.

o May be required to work additional hours as necessitated by the needs of the business.

o Periods of lone working.

o Can involve working in external conditions with exposure to extremes of weather. About You

o Demonstrate good initiative and ability to problem solve.

o Good team worker.

o Ability to accurately record data and act on results as necessary.

o Diligent with attention to maintaining high standard of housekeeping.

o IT literate.

o Previous Distillery Operator experience would be preferred however, not essential as full training would be provided.

Preferred Qualifications

o IBD General Certificate in Distillation.

o IOSH Working Safely.

– Salary up to Β£36,700 per annum.
