About the job

The Test Analyst plays a key role in the organisation by ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by providing quality assurance and testing support services to projects and BAU activities. The purpose of the role is to improve software quality by testing software products based on requirements analysis throughout project and business-as-usual activities, thereby enabling the capture of bugs early in development and change processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain, execute, and report on test artefacts including test planning, scripting, execution, regression, and reporting.
  • Ensure correct test processes and approaches are implemented, identifying and resolving defects.
  • Maintain and update test artefacts in line with business process changes.
  • Apply suitable testing techniques for project and BAU activities.
  • Identify and report software defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Provide stakeholder reporting throughout test phases using dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate with automation testers to identify scripts suitable for automation.

Qualifications

  • IT related degree or equivalent experience in an IT discipline.
  • Proven experience in software testing including writing and executing test scripts.
  • ISTQB Foundation or proven experience in software testing.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and similar data manipulation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA principles.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Azure Boards and Azure Test Plans or similar tools.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
