Job Type: UK - Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract until 31st December 2029 (aligned to the delivery of the IB60 programme ) | Netherlands - Initial contract period of 12 months followed by a fixed term contract until 31st December 2029

Hybrid working: Office attendance on an ad hoc basis

About The Job
The Project Manager will be responsible for the implementation, delivery and day-to-day project management of the IB@60 initiative, leading a multi-year global programme celebrating the International Baccalaureate’s 60th anniversary. Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications and key stakeholders, the postholder will oversee planning, governance, reporting, budgets, risks, communications and successful delivery of a global initiative designed to engage students, educators, alumni and wider IB communities.
This role will be a fixed term contract until 31st December 2029.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the IB@60 initiative, ensuring successful delivery against objectives, timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate planning, execution, monitoring and review across multiple project workstreams.
- Line manage and support the project delivery team.
- Develop project plans, milestones and deliverables aligned to sponsor expectations.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of key outputs.
- Manage project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.
- Provide accurate reporting on progress, outcomes and budget performance to senior stakeholders.
- Oversee procurement activity, supplier contracts and governance requirements.
- Drive effective communications and stakeholder engagement throughout the initiative.
- Produce final impact reports, lessons learned and cost-benefit analysis following programme completion.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified with project management qualifications desirable.
- Proven track record delivering complex projects or strategic initiatives within international organisations .
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder programmes and large-scale events or anniversary initiatives is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks and governance.
- Experience using project management software and reporting tools.
- Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with diverse audiences.
- Resilient, adaptable and able to work effectively in a changing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and mobilise support across the organisation .
