About the Job
The HR System & Insights Specialist reports into the Head of Global HR and operates as a subject matter expert and the organisational lead for all elements of our HRIS (Oracle HCM/Human Capital Management) activity.
The role has two main objectives: ensuring the HRIS and processes are optimised and user friendly to maximise colleagues to operate efficiently and effectively; and providing meaningful data, insights and reporting to inform effective business decisions.
The HR System & Insights Specialist will work closely with our HRIS & Data Associate based in Singapore, and colleagues from across our UK, Netherlands and US offices, so flexibility to work within time zone differences is required. We operate a flexible working pattern where our core hours are 10am-12pm and 2pm-3pm, enabling you to flex your working hours daily to align with the role requirements.
Please note that in September 2025 our Cardiff Office will relocate to Fusion Point One, Dumballs Road, Cardiff, CF10 5BF. The building is a 5-minute walk from Cardiff Central Station and a 10-minute walk to the city centre. Our new offices will have 60 parking spaces available which will be reservable online.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with key internal and external stakeholders, including HR and Digital colleagues, Oracle HCM platform provider representatives and support service.
- Own and define the Oracle HCM roadmap, translating user needs into clear plans and successful outcomes.
- Lead system enhancements, ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting; ensuring appropriate planning and testing prior to implementation of updates and integrations.
- Manage ongoing change requests and incidents in partnership with colleagues from our Digital Office.
- Identify and implement efficiencies and automation of workflows, to reduce non-value add activity.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on key HR metrics and develop People-related insights to inform effective decision making.
- Oversee the management of HR roles and access in HCM, collaborating with the IT security team to implement necessary control mechanisms.
- Undertake data cleansing, ensuring an ongoing and continued focus on data integrity, to enable self-service reporting functionality and dashboards.
- Work closely with system-users, including HR colleagues, to fully understand their needs in order to optimise system-related processes within a global organisation.
- Share knowledge and develop tools to build confidence and organisational capability in using the HR system effectively.
About You
- Experience of working with HRIS systems as an administrative user (experience of Oracle HCM is advantageous).
- Understanding of HR processes, data and workforce planning.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel (V Lookups, Pivot Tables, statistical analysis, etc), PowerPoint, Visio.
- Knowledge of creating dashboards using data visualization software.
- Able to lead troubleshooting and decision making for general and standard issues, escalating more substantial and/or strategic aspects with budgetary impact.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to maintain, analyse and report on data at a high standard.
- Skilled in attention to detail with intellectual curiosity and a creative approach.
- Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Ability to delegate work appropriately amongst the team, ensuring effective prioritisation of workload.
