Material Controller – Goods In/Warehouse Administrator
Scunthorpe, United Kingdom

Main Function / Purpose of Job

  • To ensure adherence to site and departmental health and safety rules
  • To ensure adherence to all site SOP’s
  • Perform all aspects of goods in receiving
  • Ensure that BOP and materials are delivered in a timely manner to all areas of the business to avoid unnecessary downtime.
  • Ensure FIFO process is adhered to.
  • Ensure location control via scanning system and this is performed accurately and on time.
  • Perform colour/tool changes as denoted within the required timeframe to ensure avoidance of unnecessary downtime.


Principle Accountabilities

  • You will be accountable for compliance with the Health & Safety rules of the site/department.
  • Goods in – ensure the registering/unloading/checking of BOP deliveries are completed as per department requirements and within a timely manner.
  • Goods in – ensure put away of BOP is performed via the scanning (RFgen) system and is completed within the required timeframes and accurately.
  • Ensure pre-kitting (both production and service) is complete and delivered to production to comply with the 3-hour rule.
  • Avoid unnecessary downtime due to incorrect and poor timed delivery of BOP and materials to production.
  • Support other areas of MPL as requested.
  • Perform accurate cycle counts as and when requested.

Key Measurable Results

  • No downtime recorded due to “not in time” BOP/material – KPI
  • All vehicles recorded at time of arrival – KPI
  • FIFO followed

Preferred skills and attributes:

  • Numerate and literate to minimum O Level/GCSE C
  • Knowledge of Goods In / FIFO / Stock Control / Materials handling
  • A can do attitude. Understanding of the difference between accountable and responsible.
