Overall purpose of the role

Responsible for driving the Quality Management System (QMS), aligning procedures and processes with the rest of the operations team to support the QMS. Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business. Provide training and champion the Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Support the effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the site, including any business accreditations.
  • Maintain (and develop) the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business.
  • Support the maintenance of site accreditation (VDA, IATF, CQC, VSCC) and perform audits as per customer and IAC requirements.
  • Organise and manage the plant internal audit system (LPA, MPA) and the corrective action reporting system.
  • Conduct Quality Systems audits and assist in training/guidance to other auditors.
  • Host external Quality System audits.
  • Provide training on Quality Systems and business processes.
  • Coordinate reviews and updates to business procedures.
  • Maintain the Standard Operating Procedure content and coordinate the issuing of these documents.
  • Support all other operations areas of the business to develop and maintain relevant procedures and processes.
  • Assist with training of quality awareness.
  • Develop, collate and report on relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system.
  • Support development and roll-out of activities that support the QMS and quality improvements, first off sample approvals.
  • Support and lead process improvement activities.
  • Write reports and present progress to Senior Management.

Skills & Attributes

  • Lead Auditor IATF 16949 & VDA
  • Experience implementing IATF to successful certification.
  • Self-driven and motivated.
  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels of shop floor to Directors.
  • Assertive, resilient and welcomes change.
  • Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others.

What you’ll get

You will receive a competitive salary plus company holiday pay. Working hours are per week, with flexibility for 40 hours some weeks, finishing at 3:30pm on a Friday. Training will be given to the right candidate with the opportunity to join an expanding site within our organisation.
