The Preservation Division of the New York Public Library (NYPL) is seeking applicants for a full-time Sound Engineer to assist in preserving the world-class audio collections held in the Library's permanent research collections.
In 2013, NYPL completed a year-long Mellon-funded comprehensive assessment of its audio and moving image (AMI) collections, which are among the largest and most important in the world. This new Sound Engineer position is part of NYPL's growing resource commitment to address the AMI challenges identified in that assessment.
