Funded Ph.D. Studentships at City University, London
City University London is offering up to 30 fully funded Research Studentships to start in October 2013, open to national, EU, and overseas students.
The Music Informatics Research Group in the Department of Computer Science at City University particularly encourages PhD applications in the areas of music and sound computing and informatics.
Research interests in the Music Informatics Research Group include:
- music information retrieval
- computational musicology
- audio transcription
- audio signal analysis and classification
- machine learning applied to music and sound
- semantic music representation and processing
- intelligent systems and user interfaces for music applications, such as music e-learning and recommendation
