About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite new business submissions across the Trade Credit portfolio, assessing risk in line with business plan targets and risk appetite
  • Drive profitable growth by meeting and exceeding individual and team new business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, customers, business partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Provide technical underwriting expertise to support business development activity and trading decisions
  • Represent Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in the market, strengthening our brand presence and reputation within the Trade Credit space
  • Contribute to business planning and portfolio management, providing insight and data to support strategic decisions
  • Manage your pipeline effectively, prioritising opportunities and maintaining a proactive approach to new business development
  • Continuously develop your technical knowledge and market expertise to stay ahead in a specialist and evolving field

We're looking for a commercially minded underwriting professional who brings solid Trade Credit knowledge together with the drive, energy, and relationship skills to win and grow new business. Whether you're an experienced Senior Underwriter or a talented Underwriter ready to step up, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Proven experience in the Credit Insurance market, with solid working knowledge of Trade Credit underwriting principles and products
  • Demonstrated track record in new business development, including identifying opportunities, managing pipelines, and closing deals in a commercial underwriting environment
  • Strong technical underwriting skills, including risk assessment, financial analysis, and decision-making within defined authority levels
  • Excellent broker development and relationship management capabilities, with the ability to influence, present, and negotiate effectively
