Management Accountant / £55,000 - £65,000 / Oxfordshire
Working in partnership with the Finance leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate and insightful management accounts across a UK based engineering business.
The role will have a broad remit across month end reporting, financial analysis, balance sheet control and business partnering, alongside responsibility for supporting the accounting and reporting of inventory across the business.
Responsibilities for the Management Accountant include:
- Own elements of the month end process, including management accounts, journals, reconciliations and balance sheet reporting.
- Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast, providing clear commentary and insight into key variances.
- Work closely with operational and finance stakeholders to understand business performance and identify areas requiring further investigation.
- Take responsibility for the accurate accounting and reporting of inventory, including stock movements, accruals, stock counts and adjustments.
- Maintain strong financial controls and support the continuous improvement of reporting processes across the business.
Profile
- It is essential the candidate is a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous experience in management accounting, ideally within an engineering environment.
- Experience of inventory accounting, stock control or standard costing would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work closely with stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly.
