  • Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis, including assessment of trends, customer dynamics, competitive positioning, and emerging industry shifts.
  • Contribute to group-level initiatives such as the IAG Business Plan, long-term fleet strategy, commercial optimisation and customer experience strategy.
  • Lead or contribute to the development of materials for Board papers, Investor Days, and other senior leadership forums.
  • Collaborate with IAG Operating Companies (OpCos) to align on cross-functional initiatives—driving consistency, identifying synergies, and championing best practice.
  • Model commercial or strategic scenarios (e.g., route performance, customer experience investments, commercial partnership opportunities, or competitor developments) using both financial and operational lenses.
  • Provide analytical and strategic support for special projects, including potential M&A evaluations, investment prioritisation, and cross-brand initiatives.

Required Skills, qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
  • Experience in commercial or growth strategy for airline, travel, or consumer-focused companies.
  • Experience with financial analysis and modelling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build structured, insight-driven presentations with clear storylines.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel and work in a multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in airline financial planning/FP&A.
  • Experience in airline-specific commercial functions such as network planning, revenue management, fleet strategy, customer experience, distribution, or partnerships.
  • Complex multi-variable modelling skills and comfort working with large data sets.
