Responsibilities
- Characterise and interpret state‑of‑the‑art Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) data from the Simons Observatory.
- Design the LiteBIRD mission.
- Work across the Cardiff Astronomy and Astronomy Instrumentation groups, contributing to research on gamma‑ray bursts, gravitational waves, supernovae, cosmic dust, star formation, and the development of next‑generation ground and space‑based telescopes.
Qualifications
- Completed or near‑completion PhD in Physics, Cosmology, Astrophysics, Astronomy or a closely related field.
- Established track record in characterisation, cosmological exploitation of CMB data or microwave sky simulations, and statistical modelling required at likelihood level.
Benefits and Salary
