We have an amazing opportunity to join our growing team as an IMPACT Senior Strategic Improvement Coach (Demonstrator).
Part‑time 0.5/50% Fixed term contract (12 months, target start date September 2026)
Salary: Minimum £38,784 FTE, Maximum £56,535 FTE (50% for this post)

The Post Positions are offered at 50% FTE for 12 months. Successful applicants may be directly employed by a lead University, but the role is also suitable for secondments from policy, practice or applied research. Posts are based in the host organisation—a local service or social care organisation—across the four nations.
Post holders will work with these organisations under the guidance of the Demonstrator Lead, Robin Miller, Deputy Demonstrator Leads, IMPACT’s broader team, and other partners. These part‑time posts are typically structured between Monday to Friday, with a preference for mutual agreement on working patterns. Successful applicants are expected to attend fortnightly meetings with the broader IMPACT team (Monday mornings 11 am‑12 pm, for one hour).
The Topic and Location: Building a more strategic approach to co‑production – Cartrefi Cymru Co‑operative, Wales Hybrid working between home and the host organisation offices in Swansea/Cardiff. This post will require travel across locations in South Wales.
Cartrefi Cymru Co‑operative is a large multi‑stakeholder co‑operative operating across Wales, delivering supported living and domiciliary care services to adults with learning disabilities. The organisation values the voice and choices of the people it supports, embedding co‑production throughout its work. Instead of traditional day services, it delivers activities driven by local co‑operatives’ voices. The IMPACT project will identify a methodology for this approach, aiming to achieve a consistent offer across Wales and support Cartrefi to promote its approach and vision with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Cartrefi Cymru and partner organisations to develop and implement a methodology for co‑production in supported living and domiciliary care.
- Provide strategic improvement coaching to host organisations, ensuring evidence of what works informs practice.
- Attend fortnightly IMPACT team meetings and contribute to project progress.
- Travel across South Wales to engage with host organisations and stakeholders.
- Work within a hybrid model, balancing home and office‑based activities.
- Experience in adult social care, supporting people with learning disabilities, or working with co‑operative models.
- Experience in strategic improvement or change management.
- Strong knowledge of co‑production principles and evidence‑based practice.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance prior to appointment.
