The Centre for Medical Education (C4ME) is looking to recruit a Clinical Lecturer in Community Clinical Learning to join our existing team. The role will undertake teaching for undergraduate medical students in primary and community care in line with the curriculum requirements for the C21 MBBCh course at Cardiff University, ensuring the learning environment at Cardiff stands out as nationally and internationally excellent.

The successful applicant will contribute to the teaching in all phases of the community curriculum, including assessing assignments, and will participate in other teaching and planning as needed by the Community Phase Leads. The successful applicant may be required to deliver some teaching in our undergraduate teaching centres, usually based in teaching hospitals in South Wales. A current full driving licence with access to own vehicle or independent means of transport is therefore necessary.

The Clinical Lecturer will contribute to scholarship and research as relevant, and will maintain and regularly update clinical and educational knowledge pertinent to this position. Applicants should have subject specialist knowledge of primary care and relevant teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level. They should also demonstrate an understanding of the contribution of Community Clinical Learning to the MBBCh programme. Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of assessment and feedback strategies used in undergraduate or postgraduate medical training and the ability to provide appropriate pastoral and academic support to students as required.

The post is based at various off‑site locations and the Heath Park Campus.
