As a Neonatologist with Intermountain Health, you will join a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. Our team includes 3 Neonatologists, 5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, with established staff & allied health caregivers including RNs, Respiratory Therapists, PT/OT/Speech Therapists, Social Workers and more. As a team we are committed to continuous improvement and following best practice guidelines in neonatal care.

You will practice at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. St. Mary's is home to a 24 bed Level III NICU. We have a large catchment area, accepting transfers from across western Colorado and eastern Utah. Shifts are taken in 24-hour increments. When on shift, you'll typically be in house during the day for interdisciplinary rounds, admits, discharges, etc., then may consult or come in after-hours as needed. Neonatal Nurse Practitioners are on site 24/7.

You’ll be paid an annual salary of $354,530.00, based on the expectation of working 121 shifts per year. Signing bonus of $30,000.00, relocation assistance up to $20,000.00. Eligible for up to $75,000.00 in student loan assistance.

What you’ll bring:

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • Board certified or boards eligible Neonatologist
  • Active, unobstructed Montana medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • U.S. ACGME Residency
  • Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification
