This opportunity is a senior individual contributor within the Private Equity Fund Investments team, responsible for evaluating and executing primary fund investments and related co-investments. The role operates within a small, collaborative London-based team, working closely with senior stakeholders across ICG and external counterparties globally. The geographic remit is North America and Europe, with some travel required to support manager meetings, AGMs and diligence processes. The role combines analytical work with external engagement and hands-on execution.
Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Lead and materially contribute to the evaluation, underwriting and execution of primary fund investments and associated co-investments.
- Own key diligence workstreams including strategy assessment, track record analysis, portfolio construction and risk evaluation.
- Prepare high-quality investment memoranda, committee materials and supporting analyses.
- Coordinate and manage external advisors including legal and tax providers.
- Support negotiation of commercial terms and investment documentation.
- Act as a key point of contact for selected GP relationships.
- Monitor existing fund investments and underlying portfolio performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with GPs and intermediaries.
- Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior team members.
Key Requirements / Qualifications
You will have demonstrable experience of:
- Essential
- Strong experience in private equity fund investing or a closely related investment role.
- Strong analytical capability and communication skills.
- Financial analysis and modelling experience.
- Understanding of private equity fund structures and documentation.
- Desirable
- Prior experience as a Limited Partner (LP) investor.
- Experience across primary commitments, secondaries and/or co-investments.
- International exposure and existing GP relationships.
