Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer on our Customer Analytics Engineering team, you'll help build and evolve the platform that powers customer analytics across Intermedia products. Working with Java, relational databases, and cloud-based data technologies, you'll design scalable services, support real-time and historical analytics, and help modernize our engineering platform.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (JDK 11+).
- Build features supporting our customer analytics platform and data processing services.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries while working with MySQL and Snowflake.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers to deliver new platform capabilities.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable long-term solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
- Improve software architecture, data modelling, and application performance.
- Drive modernization initiatives and help reduce technical debt across the platform.
- Ensure software quality through testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Share knowledge and mentor teammates through peer reviews and technical discussions.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related analytical field.
- 8+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
- Strong commercial Java development experience (JDK 11 or later).

- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL and Snowflake.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, and data modelling.
- Experience building, maintaining, and supporting production systems.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
