Intermarine has been designing, supplying and installing pontoons, marinas and moorings since 1992, serving both leisure and commercial sectors. We deliver a mix of standard systems and bespoke engineered solutions, alongside inspection, maintenance and long-term asset management services for clients including the Ministry of Defence and the offshore energy sector. Our work is carried out across the UK and international markets, primarily within Europe.
We are looking for an electrical or mechanical engineer, or an experienced technician, to join our team in a technically focused role combining maintenance delivery, project coordination and client interface across live marine infrastructure contracts. Working alongside the Site Manager, the role combines hands-on maintenance coordination with planning, reporting and contract administration responsibilities required to successfully deliver works.
The Role
This position offers a clear pathway for career progression, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility for planning and project delivery while developing both commercial and technical experience. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and support delivery of planned, remedial and reactive maintenance works
- Coordinate subcontractors, site activities and required resources
- Prepare and review RAMS, ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with site requirements
- Monitor progress, track completion and support reporting of works
- Investigate technical issues and contribute to fault-finding and resolution
- Liaise with clients, colleagues and stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress
- Support preparation of quotations, work scopes and associated documentation
- Review completed works and identify opportunities for improvement
Requirements
Essential
- 2+ years' post-graduate engineering experience, or 5+ years in trade/construction
- Electrical or mechanical background, or transferable experience within a relevant environment
- An interest in developing project coordination and delivery skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with site safety processes, including RAMS and audits
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks and produce clear reports
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site
Desirable
- Experience working in coastal, marine or industrial environments
- Relevant engineering qualification (degree or equivalent)
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification
- 18th Edition electrical qualification
- CompEx certification
