Role Overview

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, maintaining high food standards, developing new menu items, and leading the kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative chef who is passionate about Turkish cuisine and enjoys developing new recipes and concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations.
  • Create, develop, and cost new Turkish-inspired dishes and menus.
  • Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
  • Monitor food costs, wastage, and kitchen profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Work closely with management to develop seasonal menus and special events offerings.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served to a high standard and within service times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of Turkish cuisine and traditional cooking techniques.
  • Ability to create and develop new recipes and menu concepts.
  • Experience managing kitchen teams and training staff.
  • Strong understanding of food costings and stock management.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum).
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and busy service periods.
