Location: Central London (Hybrid - 2 days office / 3 days remote)

Contract Type: 6-Month Rolling Contract (Outside IR35)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday; Hours: 8-hour shifts

Interlinx is looking for an Installation Design Engineer to support a Telecoms infrastructure programme on London Underground. This role is focused on producing installation designs for digital display systems, working as part of a wider delivery team. This is a hands-on design role suited to someone with solid experience in installation design rather than system design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce installation design drawings and documentation for telecoms equipment.
  • Develop cable routing, containment layouts, and equipment installation details.
  • Interpret survey data and translate into practical, buildable designs.
  • Ensure designs meet client specifications and relevant standards.
  • Work alongside project and site teams to support delivery.
  • Update designs based on site feedback and design changes.
  • Assist with design reviews and approvals where required.
Requirements
  • Experience in installation design within telecoms, M&E, or infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to produce clear and accurate design drawings (AutoCAD or similar).
  • Understanding of cabling, containment, and equipment installation.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Practical, detail-focused approach to design work.
  • Experience working on London Underground projects.
  • Familiarity with TFL standards and processes.

Working Arrangement: Hybrid - 2 days per week in Central London, 3 days remote.
