A leading international law firm is looking to recruit a junior solicitor to join its highly regarded Shipping team in London. The practice is recognised for its strength across both wet and dry shipping work, with a reputation for being efficient, commercial, and technically strong.
The Team
- Sanctions and regulatory issues
- Commercial disputes with an international client base
- Dry shipping and contractual disputes
- Marine casualties and salvage
- Yacht-related disputes
- Cargo claims and marine insurance
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to gain exposure to high-quality, international shipping litigation work. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a range of matters, including:
- Marine casualty and salvage claims
- Charterparty and bill of lading disputes
- Cargo claims and marine insurance issues
- Sanctions-related shipping matters
- International arbitration (including LMAA)
Clients
The team acts for a first-class international client base, including major shipowners, insurers, and P&I clubs.
Candidate Profile
- NQ–3 PQE (or equivalent) with experience in shipping, maritime, or commercial litigation
- Strong academic background
- Interest in international trade and shipping law
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills
