A leading international law firm is seeking a talented mid-level Associate to join its highly regarded Project Finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile domestic and cross-border energy and infrastructure transactions alongside market-leading partners and clients. The successful candidate will advise sponsors, lenders, investors, developers, and public sector bodies across a broad range of project finance matters, with a particular focus on infrastructure, renewables, energy transition, and PPP/PFI projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on project finance and infrastructure transactions from inception through to financial close
  • Drafting and negotiating finance documents, security documentation, and ancillary agreements
  • Supporting acquisitions, refinancings, restructurings, and development projects
  • Coordinating due diligence processes and transaction management across multiple stakeholders
  • Working closely with colleagues across banking, construction, corporate, and regulatory teams
  • Managing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers where appropriate

Candidate Profile

  • England & Wales qualified solicitor with approximately 3–6 years’ PQE
  • Strong experience in project finance gained at a recognised international or national law firm
  • Exposure to energy, infrastructure, renewables, or transport sector transactions preferred
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong academic background and commitment to client service excellence
