A leading national law firm is looking to appoint an ambitious Senior Associate to join its highly regarded corporate team in Manchester. Joining a thriving Manchester team and a wider national corporate practice, you will play a key role in advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, with particular emphasis on:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Private equity transactions
- Corporate restructures and reorganisations
- General corporate advisory matters
- Growth capital and investment transactions
The role offers exposure to sophisticated and often international matters, providing a varied and stimulating workload alongside strong partner support and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of M&A, private equity and corporate transactions
- Draft, negotiate and advise on a range of complex transactional documents
- Manage deals from inception through to completion
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser throughout transactions
- Work closely with colleagues across multiple practice areas to deliver seamless client service
- Supervise and mentor junior members of the team
- Contribute to business development, networking and profile-raising initiatives
Qualifications:
- You will be a qualified solicitor with 4+ years' PQE gained at a national, international or respected regional law firm
- Strong corporate transactional experience, particularly M&A
- The ability to run transactions with appropriate supervision from senior lawyers and partners
- Excellent technical, commercial and client management skills
- A proactive approach to business development and networking
- A collaborative mindset and an interest in developing junior lawyers
- Ambition to progress your career within a growing and forward-thinking practice
