A leading international law firm is looking to recruit a junior solicitor to join its highly regarded Shipping team in London. The practice is recognised for its strength across both wet and dry shipping work, with a reputation for being efficient, commercial, and technically strong.

The Team

  • Sanctions and regulatory issues
  • Commercial disputes with an international client base
  • Dry shipping and contractual disputes
  • Marine casualties and salvage
  • Yacht-related disputes
  • Cargo claims and marine insurance

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to gain exposure to high-quality, international shipping litigation work. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a range of matters, including:

  • Marine casualty and salvage claims
  • Charterparty and bill of lading disputes
  • Cargo claims and marine insurance issues
  • Sanctions-related shipping matters
  • International arbitration (including LMAA)

Clients

The team acts for a first-class international client base, including major shipowners, insurers, and P&I clubs.

Candidate Profile

  • NQ–3 PQE (or equivalent) with experience in shipping, maritime, or commercial litigation
  • Strong academic background
  • Interest in international trade and shipping law
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Excellent drafting and analytical skills
