A highly regarded specialist disputes practice is seeking a Junior International Arbitration Associate to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with a strong arbitration background to work on complex, high-value commercial and investment treaty disputes, while taking on meaningful responsibility across the lifecycle of matters and developing within a focused, internationally recognised disputes practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations
  • Assist across the full lifecycle of matters, from case strategy and submissions through to hearings and enforcement
  • Draft submissions, witness statements, correspondence and other legal documentation
  • Work with factual witnesses, experts and counsel in preparation for hearings
  • Advise on disputes spanning multiple jurisdictions and sectors
  • Attend hearings, client meetings and conferences
  • Contribute to client relationships and wider business development activity

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales, ideally 2–3 years’ PQE
  • Strong International Arbitration experience gained at a reputable UK law firm
  • Experience in either commercial or investment arbitration
  • Strong drafting, analytical and legal research skills
  • Experience working on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters
  • Commercial awareness and a strong client-focused approach
  • Excellent academics and attention to detail
