A highly regarded specialist disputes practice is seeking a Junior International Arbitration Associate to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with a strong arbitration background to work on complex, high-value commercial and investment treaty disputes, while taking on meaningful responsibility across the lifecycle of matters and developing within a focused, internationally recognised disputes practice.
Responsibilities:
- Work on international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations
- Assist across the full lifecycle of matters, from case strategy and submissions through to hearings and enforcement
- Draft submissions, witness statements, correspondence and other legal documentation
- Work with factual witnesses, experts and counsel in preparation for hearings
- Advise on disputes spanning multiple jurisdictions and sectors
- Attend hearings, client meetings and conferences
- Contribute to client relationships and wider business development activity
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales, ideally 2–3 years’ PQE
- Strong International Arbitration experience gained at a reputable UK law firm
- Experience in either commercial or investment arbitration
- Strong drafting, analytical and legal research skills
- Experience working on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters
- Commercial awareness and a strong client-focused approach
- Excellent academics and attention to detail
