An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Insolvency Associate to join an established Dispute Resolution team.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of contentious insolvency and bankruptcy matters, with the opportunity to develop a specialist practice and build long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities: Act for insolvency office holders in both bankruptcy and corporate insolvency matters.
Advise on antecedent transactions and void dispositions.
Handle director disqualification matters and advise directors in the twilight zone, including defending claims brought by office holders.
Advise on administrations, pre-packs and the sale of businesses through insolvency processes.
Handle winding-up and bankruptcy petitions on behalf of both debtors and creditors.
Assist with the realisation of assets, including court applications for possession of residential property.
Draft correspondence, witness statements and other legal documentation.
Conduct legal research and prepare advice for clients.
Attend mediations, conferences, hearings and client meetings.
Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development and networking initiatives.
