We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic newly qualified Antitrust & Competition Lawyer to join our London competition practice. You’ll work under the guidance of leading partners who are experts in merger control, government investigations, litigation, and foreign investment. This is a chance to build your competition law career from the ground up, in a group that advises on precedent-setting cross-border matters, with high profile clients in technology, media, telecoms and other regulated industries.ResponsibilitiesAssist on merger reviews and obtain regulatory clearance from authorities such as the UK Competition & Markets Authority, the European Commission, and other international regulators.Support on antitrust investigations, behavioural and abuse of dominance cases.Contribute to litigation work, including appeals, judicial review, and work before tribunals and courts.Provide advice on foreign investment issues and compliance, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.Conduct in-depth legal research and draft clear, pragmatic legal memoranda, filings, opinions and presentations for clients.Liaise with senior members of the team and with other practice areas (e.g. regulatory, corporate, trade compliance) to ensure integrated, commercially focused advice.Engage with clients, helping to shape strategy and support business development where appropriate.Keep abreast of developments in competition law and policy, as well as judicial and regulatory decisions.QualificationsQualified (solicitor or equivalent) for England & Wales, newly qualified as of March 2026.Strong academic background in law, ideally demonstrated interest or modules in competition / EU law, economics, regulatory law.Excellent research, writing, drafting and advocacy skills, with strong attention to detail.Commercial mindset: ability to balance legal risk with business goals and to provide advice that is practical and client-focused.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.Interest in cross-border work; comfort dealing with multi-jurisdictional issues and liaising with different regulators.Ability to handle multiple projects, manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.BenefitsCompetitive salary for newly qualified lawyers, with performance-based bonuses.Exposure to high-profile and precedent-setting work in mergers, litigation and regulation across multiple jurisdictions.Mentorship from senior practitioners recognised as leaders in competition law.Professional development support (training, continuing legal education, opportunities to attend conferences, publications etc.).Clear career progression path within the antitrust and competition group.Collaboration in a high-calibre, intellectually rigorous environment with peers and specialists.Flexible working / hybrid options, where possible, to support work/life balance.London office with excellent resources, infrastructure and support.If you are interested in this position, and you meet the requirements of the role, please click \’apply now\’ to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
