Working Hours
Monday–Thursday: 7:55am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:55am – 2:15pm (start your weekend early!)
Main Assignment
You will be responsible for coordinating all planning activities relating to inbound and outbound materials and finished goods across the site. This includes creating records of material movements, negotiating with vendors, carrying out safety checks, and ensuring operations follow company and industry regulations.
As a Material Planner you are accountable for
- Using SAP MRP to procure the required material quantities on time.
- Ensuring effective levels of raw materials and finished product
- Utilising order forecasts to create efficient materials schedules
- Ensuring purchase orders are placed with suppliers for raw materials and packaging to achieve On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) availability of materials and packaging
- Monitoring all work in progress and stock levels for raw materials and finished product
- Ensuring Materials Schedule meets demand
- The monitoring and management of supplier delivery performance
- Ensuring deliveries meet the agreed standard including the correct packaging
- Monitoring inventory against the agreed levels
- Monitoring the bill of materials (BOM) including raw materials, assemblies, subassemblies, parts and components and the quantities of each needed to manufacture products
- Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
- Escalating issues following the escalation procedure for example, incorrect deliveries, errors with delivery paperwork
- Adhering to quality standards and requirements, including all QMS related items
- The completion of housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness within own and related areas
- Working to the company\’s code of conduct, policies and procedures
