Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience and will assist with daily accounting administration, manage financial transactions, and support our designers with the purchase order process.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the accountant with daily accounting administration – accounts payable/receivable.
- Receive and process invoices, payments, expense forms, and requests for payments.
- Receive and input labour allocation timesheets for payments.
- Assist and liaise with designers on the purchase order process, including proforma invoices, foreign exchange conversions, and transporting costs.
- Reconcile financial accounts (Bank & Credit Cards), manage project costing, and handle petty cash transactions.
- Create and manage financial reports.
Key Skills Required
- Strong understanding of accountancy and good working knowledge of bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential.
- Proficiency in Xero is essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to liaise directly with designers, consultants, and contractors.
- Strong technical and IT skills, with an understanding of how to leverage technology such as AI for accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint.
