Job Description:
Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Switchboard Operator | Registration Clerk to join their team. This position works rotating days and evenings with shifts such as 06:45 to 13:00, 06:45 to 14:45, 06:45 to 14:53, 13:00 to 21:00, 13:00 to 21:08, 14:45 to 21:00, and 07:30 to 14:30.

What Will You Work On?
In this role, you will perform a variety of switchboard, registration, and cashier duties such as:
- Operate switchboard and public address system and other paging device systems;
- Receive and direct patients and visitors;
- Respond to and monitor hospital alarms and emergency codes;
- Maintain physician on-call/vacation lists and other hospital staff;
- Patient registration;
- Admitting clerical duties with bed booking options;
- Cashier duties – receiving payments, recording payments in cash journals and/or summary sheets, and issuing change and receipts;
- Receive, check, and deposit patient valuables for safekeeping.
