About the Role:
The Shift Coordinator practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), within a patient and family-centered care model.
The Shift Coordinator is responsible for patient placement, bed utilization, and staffing during weekends, evenings, and night shifts. Acts as a clinical resource to staff in resolving problems regarding patient care, staffing levels, and bed utilization. The Shift Coordinator is accountable for ensuring excellence in the provision of patient-centered care throughout the hospital on the assigned shift.
