East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, B.C. is seeking a motivated and organized Casual Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to support and lead our team. This position works rotating days/nights - 07:30 to 19:45 and 19:30 to 07:45.

Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. What will you work on? The PCC is responsible for the coordination of day to day operations and quality patient care within a designated clinical area(s). This position supports the seamless movement of patients through the healthcare system and in accessing appropriate resources. The PCC supervises as well as serves as a role model and a resource to staff for clinical decision-making, clinical assessments of patients and in the counseling and education of families. Reviews, analyses and makes recommendations on the development of administrative systems such as policies, procedures and standards of patient care, adequate staffing levels, and a continuous quality improvement environment. Liaises with the interdisciplinary team for identification, coordination and efficient utilization of resources as well as plans for staff educational needs.
