Interior Health in Cranbrook, B.C. is hiring a permanent part-time Clinical Practice Educator to support acute pediatric care across East Kootenay hospitals. This autonomous role requires pediatric experience and involves collaborating closely with the regional pediatric network.
Shift Times: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

What will you work on?
The Clinical Practice Educator incorporates the core concepts of person and family-centered care (respect, dignity, information sharing, participation, and collaboration) and provides visible, accessible clinical support by acting as an education resource for staff in the clinical area(s). Using nursing & specialized theory and knowledge, develops, implements, and evaluates a range of formal/ informal educational programs and learning plans for direct care nursing staff, including individual and group learning assessments and opportunities. Consults, confers, and collaborates with others in the promotion of a quality practice & learning environment, continuous quality improvement, resolution of clinical education issues, and coordination of activities required for progressive educational and clinical practice programs. Takes supportive action with respect to individual and group learning needs as required. Integrates the nursing designation (RN, RPN, LPN) and area specific competencies into professional practice and education.
