I am supporting the search for an experienced Interim Health & Safety Professional to support the mobilisation and opening phase of a prestigious estate. This short-term role is critical in ensuring that all Health & Safety processes, policies and statutory compliance requirements are fully embedded ahead of opening, supporting the transition from construction completion through to operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Review requirements and deliver key Health & Safety policies, procedures, manuals and safe systems of work
- Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and relevant Regulations
- Review, develop and manage health and safety policies, SOPs, processes and risk assessments
- Prepare for and support internal audits, inspections and readiness-for-opening checks
- Provide pragmatic, site-based Health & Safety guidelines to the Estate Team & Occupiers
- Support in building comprehensive training frameworks and packages for teams across the estate
About You
- Proven experience in interim or short-term Health & Safety roles within commercial, leisure, mixed-use or estate environments
- Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) essential; NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and Chartered IOSH status advantageous
- Hands-on, delivery-focused and comfortable working at pace in a live project environment
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence both operational teams and senior stakeholders
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Available at short notice
