Location: Leeds (Office-based nr Headingley – with free parking)

Salary: £40,000 to £60,000 (DOE – Happy to look at Leaders or Heads of)

Reports to: Head of Marketing

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and football-savvy Social Media & Partnerships Leader to help grow our online presence and build relationships across the UK football community. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we engage with fans, influencers, and football podcasts to promote our competitions, prizes, and brand values.

This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes football, understands social trends, and enjoys working in a creative, fast-paced environment. You’ll support the wider marketing and partnerships strategy while taking ownership of day-to-day execution across platforms and influencer collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and schedule engaging social media content across Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Work closely with football influencers, content creators, and podcast hosts to build authentic brand relationships
  • Support the delivery of partnership campaigns from planning through to performance reporting
  • Collaborate with the internal marketing team to develop creative campaign ideas aligned with brand goals
  • Help grow audience reach, engagement, and follower numbers using content trends and performance insights
  • Maintain a regular posting calendar and respond to community interactions in a timely and on-brand tone
  • Monitor and report on KPIs (engagement rates, growth, reach, etc.)
  • Attend events or shoots when needed to support content creation and partner activation

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in a social media, partnerships, or influencer marketing role
  • Strong knowledge of football culture, particularly UK football (Premier League, EFL, fan media etc.)
  • Experience using tools like Buffer, Sprout, or native platform schedulers
  • Confident communicating with creators, talent, and brand partners
  • Good copywriting and visual judgment—able to brief or create high-quality content
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Comfortable working flexibly and responding to fast-moving trends or breaking football news

Desirable

  • Experience working with football influencers or podcast talent
  • Basic design or video editing skills (e.g. Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express)
  • Familiarity with paid social or boosting posts
  • Experience working with data insights to optimise content and partnerships
