We are seeking a highly capable Interim IT Support Specialist to provide immediate support across a complex, hybrid IT environment. This is a handsâon contract role requiring a strong 2nd/3rd line engineer who can quickly embed into the team and add value from day one.
You will play a key role in stabilising and supporting the IT estate, resolving escalated technical issues, and contributing to ongoing infrastructure and cyber security improvements. This is a fastâpaced environment where your ability to prioritise, troubleshoot and deliver will be critical.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support across infrastructure, systems, and endâuser environments
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, driving resolution with minimal supervision
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID)
- Support Active Directory, Group Policy, and core Windows Server environments
- Work across a hybrid infrastructure (onâpremise and cloud)
- Respond to and manage cyber security incidents, alerts and vulnerabilities
- Support patching, remediation and security hardening activities
- Troubleshoot networking issues (VPNs, firewalls, connectivity)
- Support endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM or equivalent)
- Collaborate with internal teams and thirdâparty providers
- Contribute to ongoing IT projects, upgrades and improvement initiatives
- Proven experience operating at 2nd/3rd line level within complex environments
- Strong handsâon expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure / Entra ID and Windows Server
- Comfortable working in fastâmoving contract environments, able to pick things up quickly
- Experience handling major incidents and escalations
- Solid understanding of cyber security principles and operational response
- Strong troubleshooting and problemâsolving capability across infrastructure and user environments
- Able to work independently while integrating effectively with an existing team
- Immediate start preferred
- Contract position (initial term with potential extension)
