Install and support IP CCTV systems (network cameras, NVR/VMS components)
Install and maintain access control and door entry systems (readers, controllers, integrations)
Commission and configure networked security systems (device onboarding, IP addressing, PoE checks, connectivity validation)
Diagnose faults across integrated IP environments (switching, PoE, VLANs, endpoints, cabling/fibre faults)
Work across a mix of customer sites (e.g., commercial, public sector, retail, industrial)
Complete service documentation and reports in line with internal quality standards
Liaise with technical support teams to ensure clean handovers and fast resolutions
Participate in a paid on‑call rota (coverage-based)
You’ll operate in modern, networked estates where “security engineering” and “network fundamentals” overlap.
Core technologies you’ll touch
Structured cabling: Cat5e/Cat6, patch panels, containment, termination, testing/certification, fibre basics
IP CCTV: IP cameras, NVR/VMS concepts, bandwidth considerations, remote access principles
Networking fundamentals: IP addressing, switching, PoE, VLANs, fault isolation in live environments
Integrated troubleshooting: multi‑system diagnosis across endpoints, cabling, switching and configuration
Axis Communications (CCTV/audio/access)

Hands‑on experience with structured cabling, IP CCTV, and access control
Strong understanding of networked security environments
Confident with networking fundamentals: IP addressing, switching, PoE
Proven fault‑finding in live operational sites
Full UK driving licence
