Our colleagues in IT Infrastructure provide an efficient and dependable support service to all of our business areas. A crucial part of our support services, this team use their creative knowledge to support, identify and develop systems and processes across all of our business areas. We’re looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join us and assist our team with day-to-day operation for the security, resilience, backup, and monitoring of our infrastructure services.

You will be working on the design, delivery, and operational requirements of technological change across our services and with the team, you will contribute towards the smooth introduction and integration of new and innovative technologies. You will also support your colleagues with the resolution of major incidents and any escalated issues affecting infrastructure hosted services.

Working either on your own initiative or with the team, you will use your creative knowledge to support with identifying and developing systems and processes across all business areas. You will attend sites across our business areas to carry out essential maintenance or installation and will be instrumental in supporting the move towards a more flexible and cost-efficient future using cloud providers.

Tech profile:

  • LAN and WAN configuration and diagnostics, including network services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP as well as Wi-Fi configuration and diagnostics.
  • Virtual server architecture, ideally with VMware and virtual desktop architecture, ideally with Citrix XenDesktop.
  • SAN architecture, ideally with NetApp and Cloud platform, Azure and AWS.
  • Applying and reviewing firewall edge security policies.
  • Microsoft Operating Systems and applications, VoIP and SIP solutions and other backup technologies.
