ERP Business Systems Specialist

The Organisation:
Our client, a market leader in home solutions, are looking for an ERP Business Systems Manager. Part of a large group and established since the 1970’s, you will be working for an organisation that offers a collaborative team environment and the chance to truly make a difference with the ERP systems you help develop. The company has been serving customers in commercial, industrial and consumer markets throughout Asia, North America and Europe for decades. Regional offices are based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire and the group headquarters are in Asia. The group has a total of 14 offices with manufacturing sites in key markets worldwide and they work with world-class brands and consumers all over the world. It’s an exciting time to join an organisation that has invested heavily in IT, believes systems development will take them forward and now simply requires the right person to lead from the front and be a champion of the cause.

Job summary:
You will work closely with Department Heads/Managers. Scoping, implementing and delivering on SAP Business One & SQL Server focused projects. Responsible for the company’s long-term ERP strategy, your overall objective is to deliver a reliable, efficient and continuous ERP operation – driving automation and streamlining the services provided. To perform the job in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Work closely with third-party SAP providers to deliver upgrades, building strong relationships thereto and working to tight SLAs. Help create and support the data/reporting strategy. Ensure smooth delivery of ERP projects, manage incidents, problems and change management. Provide day-to-day ERP support to around 70 users across Europe.

Requirements for the role:

  • Degree level-educated and/or recognised certification in Technology ideally ERP/CRM systems
  • Business Systems Operations – Ideally within creative / automated technologies
  • In addition to your Systems / ERP skills you would have a working knowledge of IT generally including but not limited to – Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Server 2016 Standard Edition and Microsoft Server 2012 Standard Edition and maintenance
  • Strong ERP troubleshooting and configuration, working closely with 3rd party vendors (ideally SAP Business One)
  • Develop further the Zoho CRM
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills to aid in the reporting of data
  • Proven programming experience – non language specific
  • Sound experience in SQL scripting
  • Complete reports as required that involve querying, extracting and gathering data from multiple sources including SQL databases.
  • Design and implement automatic reports/alerts within the MS range of products, including Excel, some Power BI and Zoho CRM
  • Past experience of working with sensitive Data.
  • Knowledge of data security principles, including some knowledge of GDPR and data protection
  • Background in Project Management is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics
  • Must be “hands-on” with a proactive approach (not reactive)
  • Abilities in IT and able to support with rudimentary IT/applications/hardware issues.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Flexible & willingness to travel to EU Offices when required.

You will be a valuable resource for projects and not the sole contact/lead. You will work in a team and in conjunction with senior management and IT partners.
