Overview Contract Wintel Engineer – Data centre migration (outside IR35) REF1117. A major technology focused, pan European Financial Services organisation is migrating data centres into a managed service provision. The role involves hands-on Windows engineering expertise to support the migration project and move to a managed service model.Responsibilities Support the project team to deliver the migration into a managed service.Act as a technical SME on Windows OS and execute project activities, including configuration of Windows operating systems on the VMs created as part of the Apps Migration.Support Active Directory migration and decommissioning of on-premise servers, and other migration activities as required.Work with Windows Server 2016 → 2019/2022 migrations; knowledge of clustering, IIS, Exchange and SQL.Work in a hybrid model with initial on-site engagement; after ramp-up, remote work is expected to be ~90%.Qualifications Experience as a Windows Engineer with the ability to configure Windows OS on VMs and support Active Directory migrations.Knowledge of Windows Server 2016 to 2019/2022 migrations, clustering, IIS, Exchange and SQL.Ability to operate in a hybrid work arrangement with an initial on-site period.
