Role Specification

  1. Role Purpose and Contribution to the company

This role proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements. This can be through the creation of reports, analysis of data, project work, cube building and recommendation of data input. The role is also responsible for key company data in order to maintain accuracy and security of information.

  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

2. Key Result Areas (KRA’s)

  • Business System BI Role Centre KPI Ownership
  • Planning, Budgeting & Financial reporting using SQL SSRS methodologies
  • Demand Management & Planning using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and compare against existing SSAS forecast
  • Take responsibility for the understanding, set up and ongoing support of the supplier forecasting process
  • New Project Co-Ordination
  • Information Management & Review – oversee data ownership in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 and associated cubes
  • Produce monthly Warranty and Complaints data and work with QA Department
  • Initiative and forwarding

4. Key Interfaces and Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to IT Manager
  • Provides support to Senior Management & Business Stakeholders
  • Is accountable to the Technical Director for Quality Assurance (QA) and Regulatory Assurance (RA) issues
  • Interfaces with Sales Managers and Subsidiaries employees
  • Creates and maintains relationships with Customers and Suppliers
  • Creates good working relationships with all staff in Q.

Skills and experience:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI Stack)
  • Has three years’ experience working in technical business environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL 2012, SQL 2016
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) & Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Good exposure to cube development
  • Experience working with FileMaker databases and providing support
  • Excellent analytical, modelling, report writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent general computer skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly EXCEL
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, 2012, 2016
  • Pays attention to detail
  • Can demonstrate experience of creating project plans/timetables and delivering outcomes on time
  • Is able to work without close supervision but is equally at home with taking direction
  • Can demonstrate with examples of creating success in teams
  • Willing to work in a BSI standards environment
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, drive and flexibility
  • Follow ITIL standards for internal Report Requests and Change Control procedures
  • Review data security, access and handling of Ensure the data provided is accurate and validated
  • Contribute to the successful achievement of the global goals and be an active member of the team

  • Working knowledge of latest Microsoft SQL Server version
  • Experience with PowerPoint, and Project planning software
  • Proficient in use and application of email & websites
  • Manage domain name registration / renewal process for our websites
