This world-leading international group supplying technology services to a wide range of global clients across many countries, including household-name multinationals and public-sector bodies, requires a highly skilled Database Administrator to join the team in Leeds. The successful applicant will ensure the smooth running of our database structure and be responsible for planning future developments and technologies to ensure maximum database availability to improve the service to our internal and external customers.

The infrastructure team is responsible for the provision and support of Dev, QA, DR, and Live environments which are primarily SQL/SSRS environments. This would be a great opportunity for someone with solid experience in troubleshooting 3rd line issues to make a real impact in an ITIL working environment.

Skills and experience required:
  • Experience in implementing and administering MS SQL Server 2005, 2008R2, 2012, and 2014 (Clustered and Standalone).
  • Experience of working in an ITIL environment and managing successful projects.
  • Good knowledge of Backup, Restore, and DR processes/design (using SQL tools, Cluster failover, High Availability).
  • Good knowledge of Transact-SQL, Stored Procedures, SSIS, and SSRS.
