Role
To test the business intelligence product. We are a small team and we are looking for a motivated and proactive individual to work closely with our development team alongside our existing tester.
This is an active role working within an Agile environment requiring manual and automated testing techniques to fully test our web applications whilst shipping to market as quickly as possible.
The successful candidate will be required to test both an Adobe Flex (Flash) based application and our new HTML5 Responsive product. The responsive web application provides the necessity for varied testing on many devices, so will require desktop and mobile based testing.
This is an opportunity to be involved at a vital position in our product process. We are looking for a passionate individual who would like the ability to have real input into the success of our products and company.
The successful candidate would like to have input into test governance and adapting the testing strategy to align with business demands and growth of the development team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a rapidly growing software business.
Experience:
2+ years experience of testing software with the responsibilities listed above within a software company. Any exposure to working within an Agile development cycle would be advantageous.
Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of testing software, architecture and processes.
Skills:
Essential: Automated/Manual testing experience, Python, Mobile and Desktop testing techniques.
Desirable: Jira, Selenium (Web Driver), Geist, NumPy, SQL, HTML, CSS, XML.
Written communication, problem solving, time management/self-organisation, and commercial awareness. Ability to pick up new skills quickly and to be able to work in a fast moving, demanding environment.
