As the PR Manager, EMEA, you will drive Interface’s reputation and thought leadership across key European markets (DACH, UK, France). Your primary focus will be on elevating the company’s profile through strategic PR initiatives, executive visibility, and influential storytelling, aligned with global and strategic priorities. You will lead external communications, manage agency relationships, and champion thought leadership programs that position Interface and Nora brands as industry innovators, in partnership with the Global Content Manager. You will also support global internal communications initiatives as needed, in partnership with the Global Communications team and leaders in the region.
Location: UK - home location, however must be located within easy travelling distance of London (preferably) or Birmingham.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic PR & Thought Leadership: Develop and execute PR strategies that build brand authority and thought leadership in sustainability, design, and commercial flooring, aligned with global priorities.
- Identify and cultivate opportunities for executive visibility, including speaking engagements, media interviews, and industry commentary.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to regional leadership, providing counsel on reputation management, crisis communications, and proactive media relations.
- Lead the creation of compelling narratives and content that showcase Interface’s expertise, values, and impact.
- Manage network of European PR agencies in partnership with local marketing to drive positive results aligned with global objectives.
- Consult on Americas and APAC regional PR initiatives to ensure alignment and consistency across markets.
Content & Engagement:
- Oversee the development of high-impact content for media, digital platforms, and industry events.
- Manage PR calendars and ensure timely delivery of thought leadership campaigns.
- Manage regional product PR for new product launches.
- Collaborate with Global and Regional Marketing to align messaging and amplify key initiatives.
Stakeholder & Media Relations:
- Build and nurture relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry partners to secure coverage and drive engagement.
- Represent Interface at industry forums, roundtables, and networking events to expand the company’s influence.
Spokesperson Training & Support:
- Prepare and train company spokespeople for media interactions.
- Provide ongoing support to ensure effective communication with the press and stakeholders.
Project Management and Execution:
- Distribute content across communication platforms.
- Lead projects, navigate team dynamics, and drive decisions.
- Work independently on specific goals and projects.
- Support and execute global or corporate-level initiatives in the region.
Relationship Building and Proactive Solutions:
- Cultivate collaborative relationships to support activities.
- Proactively identify obstacles and recommend solutions.
- Encourage diverse thinking and implement communication best practices.
Skills and Experience:
- Deep understanding of public relations and thought leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in creating engaging content across various media.
- Resourceful, flexible, and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to forge collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to adopt new technologies, including Generative AI, and an understanding of how Gen AI can be leveraged in communications and PR.
- Interest in design, sustainability, or cause marketing/communications.
- Excellent computer skills; graphic design and visual storytelling understanding/experience is a plus.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
Role Requirements:
- Ability to travel on short notice (approximately 15% travel).
- Bi-lingual preferred (English required, German or Dutch a plus).
- Minimum of 8 years of communications, marketing, or related experience.
