Overview

In this Tax Reporting Analyst role at IHG, you will prepare group tax reporting and disclosures for quarterly, half-year, and annual cycles, while supporting audit requests and governance controls. You will work on Country-by-Country Reporting, tax transparency disclosures, and monitor developments affecting Group tax disclosures. The role involves contributing to technical tax accounting analysis and process improvements within a global Tax team. This is a hands-on opportunity to build specialist tax expertise in a supportive, hybrid, global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare group tax reporting calculations, working papers, and disclosures for quarterly, half-year, and annual reporting
  • Support the Group’s tax audit process, including documentation and responses to audit requests
  • Operate corporate income tax controls and support governance framework
  • Prepare Country-by-Country Reporting data, reconciliations, and tax transparency disclosures
  • Monitor accounting and reporting developments that may affect Group tax disclosures
  • Support technical tax accounting analysis, process improvements, and wider Global Tax projects

Key requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accountancy or related discipline
  • Practical experience in accountancy, tax or finance via internship/placement/year
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy
  • Willingness to embrace technology including AI
  • Ability to manage deadlines and priorities
  • Confident communication with collaborative approach
  • Genuine interest in tax reporting and willingness to build technical expertise
  • Intention to pursue professional tax qualification with employer support
  • Exposure to tax reporting, accounting, compliance, financial reporting, data analysis, reconciliations, audit processes or IAS 12 is advantageous
