Overview
Hotel Indigo Torquay is looking for Front Office Night Team Members to join our growing team and bring the Hotel Indigo values to life!
Hotel Indigo Torquay, opening in 2025, promises a stimulating new addition to this idyllic coastal town. Nestled along the stunning English Riviera, the hotel will offer guests breathtaking views of Tor Bay and access to some of Torquayβs most iconic beaches and walking trails where you can truly appreciate nature. Close to local attractions, including the historic Torre Abbey and the lively harbour, guests can also indulge in the region\βs renowned culinary scene featuring fresh seafood and artisanal delights. Hotel Indigo will provide a unique and memorable experience, offering a tonic for the body, imagination and soul; capturing the spirit of this longstanding English seaside location.
We have a variety of contracts available, Part-Time (from 8 hours per week) and Full-Time (40 hours per week).
Responsibilities
- As a Front Office Nights Team Member (Full-Time or Part-Time), you can expect to carry out the following dutiesβ¦
- Checking in our late-arrival guests and checking out our early-departure guests(you will greet our guests with a warm and authentic Hotel Indigo welcome, using Opera to check in our guests effectively) β it would be great if you had experience in a Nights Reception or Reception role within in a Hotel environment with experience of Opera or similar reception system (not essential)!
- Dealing with ad-hoc guest requests throughout the night(you will be problem solving to ensure we can elevate all of our guests stays, dealing with any guest requests and appropriate service recoveries for any guest complaints to make sure they leave with a smile)
- Ensuring the safety of our Guests and Colleagues(you will be focussed on ensuring a safe environment for our Guests and Colleagues, completing relevant checks and recording information via reports) β a high attention to detail and understanding of H&S would be a bonus!
- Completing ad-hoc tasks throughout the night(this is a varied role and you will be dealing with a variety of tasks such as running reports, manning the reception desk, cleaning and completing checks around the hotel β therefore you will need to be someone who enjoys variety and likes helping the team where needed!)
