Duties and Responsibilities
As Night Manager, I will support the Front Office Manager and assume responsibility for the efficient operation of the following:
- Oversee the Night shift operations in the Front Office department.
- Greet guests upon arrival and conduct check-in and registration procedures efficiently and warmly.
- Ensure guest satisfaction, manage keys, and handle billing procedures accurately.
- Follow operational procedures, including night audits, cash handling, and system updates.
- Maintain a balanced bank, handle foreign currency exchanges, and reconcile transactions at shift end.
- Prepare arrival amenities such as welcome letters, towels, and drinks.
- Maintain guest history files and ensure guest requests and preferences are accommodated whenever possible.
- Record special dietary requests and allergies.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are serviced according to guest preferences and that vacant rooms are cleaned as scheduled.
- Collaborate with Engineering for prompt response to maintenance issues.
- Have knowledge of all hotel facilities, services, room rates, categories, locations, and layouts, as well as credit policies and reservation coding.
- Adhere to LQA standards strictly.
Qualifications
To succeed as Night Manager, candidates should possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience in luxury hotel operations:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel, or Business Management.
- Over five years’ experience in a similar hotel operational role.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with hotel systems such as POS, PMS, and CRM platforms.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are preferred.
