Job Title: Manager, Safety & Security

We have a new opportunity for a Manager, Safety & Security to join our Business Reputation & Responsibility function and contribute to the continued effectiveness of IHG\’s safety and security risk management framework across the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA) region.

Working alongside our Global Director for Brand Safety Standards, you\’ll collaborate closely with regional Safety & Security Directors. Your responsibilities will include driving improvements that benefit hotels across EMEAA and providing responsive, specialist support when needed. Our Safety & Security team plays a vital role in safeguarding our guests, colleagues, and hotels, protecting both individuals and our reputation as a leading hospitality group. Key Responsibilities

  1. Be the subject matter expert to design and enhance tools, resources, and learning materials for hotel teams.
  2. Deliver professional training and engagement activities for hotel leaders and corporate colleagues, including virtual sessions, bulletins, and alerts.
  3. Partner with EMEAA Safety & Security Directors to improve local priorities, reduce workload pressures, and enhance efficiency.
  4. Support the implementation of EMEAA-specific safety and security assurance measures.
  5. Analyze data and insights to assess intervention impacts, identify emerging risks, and drive corrective actions in partnership with hotels.
  6. Act as a key contact for corporate safety and security initiatives across EMEAA, supporting global adoption and collaborating with facilities management colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Health (Food Safety), Fire Safety, or a similar field.
  • Significant experience in an advisory or business partner Health & Safety role within a global organization of similar scale.
  • Project management expertise with the ability to handle multiple workstreams, analyze complex data, and deliver practical solutions.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, presentation, and communication skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve results.
